What shapes the design philosophy behind timeless architectural works? The answer begins with how an architect interprets a site, listens to its cultural narrative, and places people at the very heart of the design process. Under the theme “Shared Culture, Collective Futures,” S.T.U.D.I.O #01 initiates a dialogue on how architecture, landscape, and urban planning can integrate local identity into every minute detail of a project.
A highlight of the workshop is the participation of architect Kjetil Trædal Thorsen, a founding partner of Snøhetta—a Norwegian interdisciplinary architecture and design firm established in 1989. This event offers the architecture, planning, and design community a unique opportunity to gain direct insight into the professional practice of Snøhetta, a world-leading design firm renowned for numerous major, iconic projects, including the Shanghai Opera House, which opened in October 2026.
The program is organized by Sun Group and executed by Sân Đình and the Design Management Department (DMD), in collaboration with various universities and design firms across the country. It is also endorsed by the Vietnam Association of Architects.
